Synopsis:

Reverend Giuseppe, a young parish priest, meets a little boy called Vincenzo, who claims to be his son. The child’s mother is Felicina, who was Giuseppe’s first love before he decided to become a priest. Together father and son look for Felicina who now lives in Vienna. She claims to be in danger because she and her son witnessed a murder. The three of them hide in a convent where Giuseppe decides to start a new life with his family even though he’s not sure whether he is Vincenzo’s father or not. But then a killer tries to murder the child and Felicina saves him by sacrificing her life. On her death bed she reveals the truth to Vincenzo, making him promise never to tell Giuseppe.
