Synopsis:

Francesca De Luca is a civil lawyer who works at the established law firm of her husband, Claudio Donati, a brilliant lawyer if somewhat cynical at times. When Francesca, who is an idealist endowed with great humanity, discovers her husband’s infidelity with Silvia, she opens her own law firm, leaves her husband and takes her two children, Marta and Luca, with her. An enormous battle erupts between husband and wife: who will gain custody of the two children? Who will win this fight?
And that is not all: the two law firms are in constant competition, with civil lawyers daily up against divorces, abandoned children, men running away from their responsibilities and women who use their children as pawns against their husbands.
Francesca finds herself with enumerable economic problems, alone, affronted, full of rancour and amazement that the man she loved has turned into the enemy. She will feel all the pain which up to now she had handled with cold professionalism for her clients. The majority of the youngsters at her husband’s firm – despite the obvious financial penalization – decide to follow Francesca in her venture of staring from zero. They will include: Alessandra and Andrea, two young lawyers; the secretary, Alice, and, by way of support, a private investigator Marco Valle; lastly, also Rocco, a timid child psychologist, will join them, aiding Francesca’s new team.
