Synopsis:

Raccà, a businessman on the edge of bankruptcy, plans to swindle an insurance company by sinking his yacht, at present anchored in a Moroccan port. The operation is to be carried out by his submissive brother-in-law Zappi, who takes along a life boat for him and the would-be sea dog, Bigazza. The two arrive in Morocco, undergo a series of misfortunes in the desert, meet a missionary who roams Africa with an enormous Crucifix, and finally with the help of a false Bedouin, board the Yacht. Having sunk the yacht earlier than planned a long way from the Canary Islands, Bigazza and Zappo, dying of thirst and hunger aboard the lifeboat, are sought in vain, while the dishonest Raccà on board a powerful motorboat, having spotted them, cynically turns the boat around in the other direction.
