Synopsis:
Starting off from the premise that liberation from colonial domination created a critical period of transition for the young African nations, the documentary catalogues the episodes demonstrating this crisis, detailed as to era and location: from the Britannic trials to the Mau-Mau terrorists; from the rehabilitation of the same to the glorification of the national leaders; from the slaughter of the park animals to the killing of the white colonists; from the bloody reprisals of the Simba to those of the mercenaries in the pay of the instable governments of the Congo. The long reportage closes in Cape Town, with comments on the social and racial situation founded on the gold mines.
