Synopsis:

The background - Today’s Palermo, caught in a hidden war between mafia families for the leadership of Cosa Nostra, after the arrest of the last godfather, Bernardo Provenzano.

The story - Two women and the relationship that binds them: vice chief of police Claudia Mares and young Rosy Abate, member of one of the oldest criminal clans. The first is called to join a special antimafia corps headed by Stefano Lauria. The second, after a long stay in the USA, returns to Palermo for her wedding.

The challenge - Even after the brutal assasination of Lauria, the squad will slowly start understanding the new dynamics of the mafia families, their aims and dealings: but this is no longer the era of scribbled notes passed on by hand.
