Synopsis:

Anna, daughter of a retired ambassador, and girlfriend of Sandro, is invited with her friend Claudia onboard a businessman’s yacht. They sail around the enchanting Eolie islands, but none of the guests seem to appreciate the scenery. Once the guests have disembarked on a small reef, Anna and Sandro start a fierce row but when a sudden storm threatens everyone rushes towards the boat, suddenly realizing Anna has disappeared. The yacht must leave so as to avoid the storm, but Sandro and Claudia remain to look for Anna. As all hope of finding her vanishes, the two feel joined by a new emotion, and realize that the search for Anna was just an excuse. Reaching Taormina, they meet up with their shipmates: no-one asks about Anna, but everyone is aware of the new relationship between Sandro and Claudia. But the same night, Sandro shows his flightiness and inconstancy, abandoning himself in a brief encounter. After an initial moment of rebellion, Claudia decides to forgive him.
