Synopsis:

Luca, a petrol retailer, marries a dancer, Ippolita, a girl who likes to be courted by the numerous passers-by. One day, she discovers that her husband has betrayed her with Adriana. Ippolita decides on her revenge: she assures Luca that she will fulfil her wifely duties only when she is permitted similar distractions. Via a series of lively events, the two resume their married life: but Luca will never know if Ippolita was really faithful or not.
