Synopsis:

Pamela is the wife of a Parisian heart surgeon, Noiret, and Cesareo – ex-brickie who has made his fortune in the building trade – is the older husband of Margherita. Following minor surgery on Margherita, she and Noiret leave their respective spouses with the utmost effrontery to live together. Cesareo who is distraught manages to meet with Pamela, so as to study a plan to regain their unfaithful spouses. A comical series of inadequate and clumsy events follows, which only serve to highlight the two’s differences, although they are clearly attracted to each other. When the unfaithful couple finally decide to return to their respective spouses and all seems back to normal, Pamela and Cesareo then begin their affair making a mockery, but essentially saving face.
