Synopsis:

Antonella, a student at the DAMS (Art, Music, and Entertainment Disciplines) in Bologna, and her mother, Sandra, have always believed that the girl’s father abandoned Sandra before she could tell him that she was pregnant.
But Antonella’s grandparents confess that it was they who had driven him away, intercepting the letters that he had continued to write to Sandra for many years. Antonella immediately starts to look for her father, but her search proves more difficult than she thought: 25 years have gone by and, what’s more, she knows very little about him. She is about to give up hope when she meets Fabrizio, a surveyor employed on a luxury housing project overlooking a magnificent lake. The two of them hit it off immediately. Then Antonella discovers that Fabrizio, or rather his partner Mario, in order to obtain the required building permit, has not told the local authorities that there are Etruscan tombs beneath the site. Bitterly disappointed, Antonella leaves, threatening to report them. Mario sends Fabrizio after her, and when he finally tracks her down they are deeply attracted to each other. When Sandra sees the photos her daughter took on her travels, she recognises Fabrizio: he is Antonella’s father, the man she waited for all those years.
And Antonella is in love with him. It is not easy for their Fabrizio or Antonella to deal with this situation, but it is even more difficult for his wife, Silvia, and their young son, Simone.
Quite by chance, Simone and Antonella meet and a wonderful understanding and feeling of solidarity is born between them, which helps everyone to solve their problems. Sandra is able to accept the situation and let bygones be bygones; Antonella acknowledges her father, and has a stronger mother and a little brother (and also a boyfriend, because she goes back to Fabio, whom she left when she fell for Fabrizio); and Fabrizio, thanks to his daughter, emerges from this complex affair, strong in knowledge that love can help you overcome all your fears.
