Synopsis:

This is the story of friendship and betrayal among a group of young kids who share a common destiny linked to growing up in the outskirts of a city. When it begins they are just five twelve-year-olds full of dreams and ideas. They call themselves “La Banda”, maybe because this really makes them feel like one. Their heaquarters is a big building surrounded by greenery on the edge of town, which they call “the fort”. DADO, the leader, and his best friend ROCCO share the same goals and dreams as LELE, MIRKO and MANOLO, the other members of the gang. But as these “miniature adults” grow up, they realize that life is very different from the way they imagined it. When they become men, these kids who were once such great buddies, discover they have lost that feeling of unity, of being inseparable that comes with being part of a group. One of them makes the big mistake of trying to go back, to relive the past, with tragic results... ROCCO, who is assigned thethankless task of being a Judas, in fact represents the group’s conscience. He finally understands that through a making various choices, linked to his private affairs, he has not only condemned his “buddies” to death but also killed his entire past, his childhood. Childhood that is often so tough and cruel that it obliges us to make painful irreversible choices as adults.
