Synopsis:

North Africa: 1943. An Italian lance-corporal stationed at the "Girasole" stronghold, obtains his longed for permit to return home, if only for a few days. But the unexpected outbreak of a decisive battle surprises the military still on African soil. On board a truck, from one command post to another, he desperately sets out to seek an officer who can validate his permit. When he manages to do so, thanks to the help of a friend, the English take him prisoner.
