Synopsis:

The story is set with historic accuracy after the fall of Mussolini and the proclamation of the armistice and concerns the difficulties experienced by the population and the partisan struggle against the Germans. The confrontation mainly takes place between the socialist, Rubino, upholder of the armed struggle against the Germans and the Vice Brigadier Salvo d'Acquisto who prefers to remain with the people in order to help to defend them. The moral being more courage is needed to stay than run. An extremely valid representation of the resistance and its humble contribution, often little noted.
