Synopsis:

There is a diary that holds the key to eternal life. But do you have time to read it before you die? When the Byron authority Professor Edward Foster is given the poet’s missing Parisian diary, little does he think that it will lead him into danger. But the diary holds terrible secrets, and the key to immortality. As Foster starts to unravel Byron’s notes in the diary he becomes the victim of strange circumstance… a bloody dagger… and people around him dying. The Marquis De Santerre is an expert in the occult and psychic phenomena and he desperately wants to find the “Sign of the Order”, the key to immortality which Byron has hinted at in this diary. He tells Foster that the “Sign” is part of a legend mentioning “a destined one” who will appear every century to search for the missing “Sign”. If he fails to recover it, he will die! Foster gradually realizes that he bears an uncanny likeness to the “predestined”, and his life depends on his finding this key to immortality.
As time runs out psychic forces start to dominate Foster’s world. Too many people desperately want this secret. He lives in a semi-trance where hallucinations play tricks on his sanity and begins to lose touch with reality. There seems to be only one point of reality in Foster’s rapidly slipping world… Barbara, an English journalist, who is practical, down to earth and in love with the professor. Perhaps she can save him from these evil forces…
