Synopsis:

Gaby, after already having been responsible for the suicide of one admirer, provokes the guilty love of Leonardo, whose house she frequents as the friend of his son Roberto. After Leonardo’s wife is killed, the two marry and the man manages to ruin himself financially for her and finally ends up in prison. When he finally comes out, he discovers Gaby has become a film star and, wandering round the city half mad with grief, he is run over and killed. The media gets hold of the news and the tragedy also affects Gaby. Then she finds out that Roberto is happily married to her sister, and it is almost too much to bear.
