Synopsis:

A northern Italian mechanic decides to realize his dream of owning a bar by going to work on the oil platforms in the north sea. While he discovers that it really is true that money is to be made here, he suffers from loneliness since he is the only Italian. Driven by the urge to find companionship in the form of another Italian and with the promise of more money, he sets out for the platforms further north, where the work is hard but the rewards are good.
